This is the year of failed Centralized Exchanges (CEX). If you own crypto, you should not be keeping it on an Exchange. You should be keeping it on a Hot Wallet or Hardware Wallet.
If you are using your own wallet, you have to manage your seed phrase. If you lose your seed phrase, you will never be able to recover your crypto. I manage my seed phrases using Shieldfolio’s Ghost Pen and Stonebook.
Let’s go over how to use the Ghost Pen with the Stonebook. The Ghost Pen is an awesome tool to write down your seed phrase (invisible to the naked eye). In order to read, you need to turn on the black light and shine over the seed phrase.
Let’s walk through using the Ghost Pen to setup a Trust Wallet. After you download and install the wallet, choose Create a new wallet.
Accept the TOS and click Continue.
Create a Passcode and click Continue. We will now backup our seed phrase using the Stonebook and Ghost Pen.
Click Continue. For the purposes of this article, I will share the seed phrase. Never do this.
Next, I will open up my Stonebook and write the seed phrase down.
Using my nifty Ghost Pen, I have written down my seed phrase. Voila it is done.
If I ever need to restore my Trust wallet or any wallet such as Trezor or a Ledger or any other Hot Wallet as well, I can capture my seed phrases in the Stonebook and then use the black light whenever it is necessary to restore as shown below:
I am now going to write down an additional seed phrase as shown below to test how water proof the Stonebook is after one week in my pool.
Here it is sitting in my Pool.
Stay Tuned for the Reveal.
